Charge Registered Nurse (RN)
As a Charge Registered Nurse (RN) you will be responsible for providing nursing care to residents and direction and leadership to designated staff.
Additional responsibilities of the Charge Registered Nurse (RN) include:
Completing comprehensive nursing assessment of all residents on admission and on an ongoing basis according to state and federal regulations using the nursing process.
Assuring assigned residents receive ordered medication, treatments and other procedures within defined time frames, utilizing appropriate infection control procedures.
Assuring physician''s orders are processed and physicians are notified in a timely manner.
Demonstrating safe use of all equipment and checking equipment before using.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Charge Registered Nurse (RN)
To qualify for the Charge Registered Nurse (RN), you must have effective communication skills and be able to work with individuals of all ages.
Additional requirements of the Charge Registered Nurse (RN) include:
Licensure for state of practice is required. Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
CPR Certification or ability to achieve upon employment.
Knowledge and familiarity with the therapeutic effects and side effets of all medications administered.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Good Samaritan Society - Grants has fulltime and part-time dayshift openings for Charge Nurses, RN/LPN. 12- hour shifts are from 6:00 to 6:30.
Duties include, but are not limited to: Provides nursing care to residents according to physician orders/regulations; supervises CNAs/CMAs, trains new staff; responds to emergency needs (choking, falls, convulsions, fire, etc.) and resident call lights; observes/documents observations and care given to residents; receives/shares information appropriately. Keeps communication open with DON, physicians, residents, and appropriate family/POA.
Current license in good standing required; must be CPR certified or willing to become CPR certified within 180 days of hire. Competitive pay rates, with night shift differential; benefits' package.
